Location was good. Hotel was quiet. Enjoyed the hot tub. It was in an adjoining building. It was nice to not have to go outside to get to the pool area. Breakfast was micro-wave packaged food but was better than just a continental breakfast. Enjoyed the sausage biscuit.

I am hoping the mold in the bathroom was a temporary thing.

I am hoping the mold in the bathroom was a temporary thing. On the plus side they did have a dehumidifier in the room and that made me feel better. I would stay here again and I would highly recommend it for so many other reasons. In their defense. It was a very humid summer in the area and the mold very well. Could have been from that or from someone taking way too long of a shower

Sister bay is easy to get around in just driving or walking on 42. The marina, beach and boat tours are favorite things to do. Lure restaurant is a great place to dine for seafood. For grocery shopping, Piggly Wiggly is where you want to go, located on 42 in the Country Walk Shops. To gas up your vehicle, the BP station is just across the road from there.

    The best relaxing getaway!

The best relaxing getaway! We ate at the Summer Kitchen, the Sister Bay bowling alley (yes, very nice and very good!) and a little hangout place for lunch/snack called, Not Licked Yet. Sister Bay is so centrally located that parks and other towns are all close. One of the nicest little vacations we've had if you enjoy a step back in time and some peace and tranquility. There's also a nice little dog park in Ephraim and our dog enjoyed the trip as much as we did!

Location is in the middle of it all, great shops and food along the way.Al Johnson’s is a must to eat at. The live music outside in warmer weather is enjoyable as is sitting in the park watching the children play on the playground and watching the boaters on the lake. We picked Sister Bay for our mom’s memorial bench because she/us loved it here

Well, breakfast is from 7 AM to 9 AM every morning.

Well, breakfast is from 7 AM to 9 AM every morning. When on vacation who is up before 9:00 to go for breakfast? The second morning there was no breakfast at all! Evidently, we were told, that food truck didn’t come in! Wow that’s there was no breakfast or anything in the lounge Now they know how many people are going to be staying in that hotel, which I believe was full. So wouldn’t you order extra food for breakfast in case something happened like that, meaning the food truck did not come in!

We found the perfect hotel in Sister Bay at Country House...

We found the perfect hotel in Sister Bay at Country House and enjoy all the options for food and entertainment in town. This was our 3rd year in a row and we can't wait to return. We prefer going in September when the weather is still nice but it's less crowded.

The size of room for a family of 5 was great. The location was (for the most part) walking distance to things within Sister Bay. The rooms were clean. The staff - when you could find one - were friendly. Great balcony with table and chairs. While the bathroom fans work, they run VERY loud! The walls are thin, and we had loud/drunk people below us that were partying all night - front desk closes at 10pm so we could not speak to staff about it.

John and his staff always do their best to meet the needs of their guests. This was our 2nd stay at OHL and we have never overheard anything but good things amongst the guests. The location is perfect to access all areas of Door County and the breakfast has something for everyone. We love the gas firepits outside, they are perfect for winding down after a busy day. We will always stay here when we visit. It meets all of our needs.

A great place to stay and we will definitely return. The full kitchen was perfect since you can easily spend $40 or $50 just for breakfast in a place like Sister Bay. Two bedrooms, 3 TVs, excellent WIFI, Super clean. Even a balcony to relax with a glass of wine after fighting Door County traffic. And since it's secluded in the woods with its own parking you don't have the parking problems of Fish Creek and Sister Bay.

The resort is in a wooded, quiet location where the rooms overlook beautiful Sister Bay. Our spacious room had a comfortable king sized bed, recliner, big screen TV, and walk-in shower. The balcony, with its table and chairs, would have been a wonderful place to relax in the evening and take in the view of the bay, but we came in the winter. We would highly recommend this resort.

It was beautiful! Would love to come back in spring or fall to see all the beautiful colors of the grounds. The staff was amazing and very helpful! We really enjoyed the feeling of the place because it wasn’t so ‘hotel’ feeling. We hope to come back.

The location was great at the south end of Sister Bay. The 'neighborhood' near the old 'Fred & Fuzzies' made for a great morning walk. Especially liked the short distance to Pebble Beach. Great secluded spot to watch the water.

It was good. I liked having it included in the price of our hotel booking. I would have liked a little more protein added, like boiled eggs or more cheeses.
