My issues are not with the lovely town of Covington.
My issues are not with the lovely town of Covington. This hotel has obviously been sold to an inferior management company who are not overseeing how the staff operates things. This is NOT a travelling business person's hotel. If you are looking to score crack or hookers, maybe.

Covington is often called NorthShore meaning it is across causeway from the New Orleans area. Covington has a beautiful and clean historical area with beautiful homes. Many major roads change names once in the "heart of the city". There's parks for children to play at and this area is close to Mandeville. Although I didn't go there's a lot of children activities nearby. Trampoline park and Children's museum. I traveled to attend Mardi Gras parade with my extended family. We ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse and the food was well prepared and served. Breakfast was eaten at the hotel.

Several restaurants I would have liked to try if my stay had been longer, we had breakfast at the English Tea Room and enjoyed it very much, it looked like there were a lot of small shops I would have loved to visit. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to return.

The area is beautiful, but I was there to help take care of grandchildren, so did not get out and enjoy the amenities the area has to offer this trip. I do love the quaintness of Covington, the beautiful street and architecture of the homes in the area and enjoy just driving or walking around admiring these. I have also in the past eaten at some wonderful restaurants, enjoyed a walk along the lake and the bike trail.

LOVE Covington!
LOVE Covington! the historic downtown area is small but wonderful.
There are plenty of interesting locally owned shops and restaurants.
The vibe is warm and friendly. The scenery is lush and inspiring! It is very easy to find your way around and easy access to New Orleans if you want to go there. The Chimes restaurant is loud but has really good food. The Abita Roasting company is also fantastic; breakfast !!!
The location is along an I-12 frontage road, past the Hilton Garden Inn, past 4 or 5 auto dealerships, in a mostly commercial area. We did not drive down the frontage road beyond the hotel entrance, but the whole area had a commercial vibe. Not the slightest resort atmosphere.
The breakfast was quite good, probably the best part of our one night stay. Scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, muffins, good coffee.
This hotel was not comfortable at all , the bed was so hard and mattress was terrible . The coke machine had hot drinks in it and receptionist wouldn't give me my money back. I her told that a sign should have been on the machine warning customers not to use it. They promised breakfast but, when i went down to the kitchen they told us it was not open. It was false advertisement
I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. I would like to highlight Christel and Dody at the front desk. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I loved the facilities. The grounds were beautifully maintained, rooms were very clean, pool and jacuzzi, and washer and dryer. I am happy with the Marriot hotel and will be staying again. Thank you.
The cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at! Will book again for my next trip. I loved how clean it was idk about some of y’all but when I stepped in my hotel room it smelled like Clorox which is a plus for me.
The staff was very nice and helpful at times and the room was very spacious. The restaurant was very clean the bed was big and I was in a hotel lobby on the outside of my room was clean.
