Company info

Morgado do Quintão is a large, restored early 1800’s family-owned vineyard estate, located between the Silves, Monchique and Lagoa in the Algarve. The estate was founded in 1810 by the count of Silves and is still in the possession of the family—and it’s a family story where a passion for the land, food and entertaining merges with a love of local heritage, beauty and conservation. We took time to make Morgado do Quintão. Working with the historic buildings and the old vineyards and olive trees that surrounds them, we have created a thoughtful place with love and attention on every detail. The estate’s vineyards are some of the oldest in the Algarve and provide the indigenous grapes which make up our award-winning wines and around the estate there are cottages which can host guests who want to be part of our history. We hope you will experience a real connection to the land, the seasons and to nature, and we invite you to rest, relax and enjoy this Algarve country idyll.

Property info

The entire estate is your playground. Besides the beautiful vineyards and old trees, one of the great pleasures is our pool, refreshing to lounge around, under the ancient olive trees (and one of them is one of the oldest and grandest olive trees we know) as the birds fly by, with the smell of lavender filling the air.

Morgado do Quintão estate is located at just a 5-min relaxing drive from the charm of Silves and a 10-min to the award-winning beaches of Lagoa: the fact that it is located close to major highways also makes it very easy to get to from your daily beach trips and adventures. Within the property there are ancient olive trees, fig trees and plum trees (while you are here, feel free to pick some for yourself). It's a comfortable house to enjoy a break with family and friends.
