Karosta Prison was an incredible place with an incredible history. We loved our tour with show elements that gave a very clear idea how the prison functioned prior settling in for the night! Great, great experience!

Sleeping at the Karosta prison was a cool and unique experience because we actually slept in a cell. Which was redecorated to make it comfy for the guests. The best thing was that during the night tour we got to experience a little bit of what the prisoners at the time would have to withstand.

Of course the only reason to stay here is for the prison experience. The modern shower is on the second floor and you can wander up there whenever you like during the dark, dark nights to enjoy the atmosphere and contemplate the dim cells that ordinary tourists can only glimpse briefly on tours. This experience made my stay totally worthwhile and is not something one would be likely to get in other prison tourist accommodations. Also, the main staff members are not just employees--they are knowledgeable enthusiasts and have been developing sights around Karosta for many years.

Very authentic and great place to spend the night. You can get food at Cafe restaurant until 7pm, which was great and space to sit outside in enclosed compound where you could park your car overnight. Great tour of prison with very knowledgeable staff which is part of the deal. Fantasic.

Amazing and unique experience that more than lived up to our expectations, it blew them away! The staff was so kind and knowledgeable, the location was great, close to nature, historic locations and the city centre. Sleeping in the prison was such an incredible experience, unlike anything we ever tried before. Would absolutely recommend anyone who wants a memorable experience you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else!
