Monkstadt House was amazing. Our room on the first floor was well appointed with tea, coffee, tv, etc. The bed was incredibly comfortable and everyone on the staff was very friendly. We had a spectacular dinner our first night and enjoyed starting our days with breakfast here. The property was a bit out of the way (single track road) but well worth it due to the silence in the evenings.

Shona was so nice and met me as I drove up with smiles. She went over everything I would want to know about the stay. Shona totally stocked the fridge with fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and several other fruits. Cereals, yogarts, brie cheese, and many other items were also provided. The place was spotless and looked to have been newly refurbished. It was a little over five minutes walk to the town square. I could not have been happier with the stay.

I only spent one night in Portree so my judgement is limited. Even before the tourist season started, it was quite crowded. I can’t imagine what it must be like at the height of the season. Skye is lovely but expensive compared to other locations in Scotland.

Skyelight Apartment is at a great location, very near to Portree town centre, maybe 1-minute walk. Nicely furnished, warm and cozy. Note though there is no washing machine. Otherwise, a wonderful accommodation.

We loved Rockview.
We loved Rockview. The view of the harbor from our room was spectacular. We could easily walk To the town of Portree to eat and shop! Location was perfect to sightsee . The owners were so helpful and nice! Would highly recommend Rockview!

A beautiful highlands town. Dinner reservations can be a bit of a challenge, however, you are on vacation typically and need to be patient. The food is definitely worth it - I stayed 4 nights and did not have a bad meal or experience.Bonnie

The apartment was clean and comfortable, great to have use of the washing machine (and powder left for us) as we had a few mucky items from our day trips. Spacious double bedroom, corner sofa which pulls out into a large sofa bed. It was perfect for the dogs too as we didn't want to take them to a hotel. Additionally, we had an amazing view and were able to get in for dinner the night we arrived and it was very delicious. This hotel is right off the water and there are 3 car parks within 100 yards, one of which is completely free if you can get a spot, the others are free after 6pm-8am (you will likely be driving around exploring anyway, so that was not an issue for us!). The staff was helpful.

It was very close to the town of Portree. Very close to the sights we wanted to see in Isle of Skye. The beds were comfy. The living area accommodated all five of us when we needed to relax from our hiking. The kitchen was perfect for us. We even walked the neighborhood and found the neighbors to be friendly to us.
