Location, tastefully renovated old farm house. Quiet location, in the middle of a forest with shade and fig trees. Big room,friendly owners.great breakfast.

We enjoyed the historical ambiance of the accommodations and property. The reception room, breakfast room, bedrooms, etc. are in an old 15th-century farmhouse. While our room was renovated, it still had that old charm with wooden beams, stone walls, etc. The property was spacious and quiet with lots of places to relax and picnic. It was enhanced with lots of native flowers and trees. My wife and I were amazed at how we could hear so many birds. We especially enjoyed our evenings outside after coming back from dinner (in Sarlat) and sidetrips (visiting Beynac, canoeing on the Dordogne, etc.). The Hotel La Maison des Peyrat is a great getaway location.

**** More like a 4 star hotel than 3....all the amenities- relaxing green spaces, heated outside pool, kind and attentive owner and staff, comfortable room with nice linens, large rain shower , fabulous French breakfast on the terrace with egg options for extra €, and private parking. Owner was also kind enough to explain about town with a map to keep. You can walk to town in about 15 minutes but with an uphill return, so you want to be fit. Otherwise, it’s an easy 5 min drive to parking near the old town. Wonderful place outside the touristy hustle and bustle but still close enough! A 25 min drive to Lascaux

This is our second stay at this hotel. I do love it as it is situated on the outskirts of Sarla surrounded by a lovely garden but not too far from the center (ca.1km) although the return is very hilly. The building is very old and the owners preserved it while adding modern amenities. The rooms and the bathroom are large and spacious. Pets are welcome.

The property is set in a quite location above the old town of Sarlat. The room was comfortable but please note it is in a 14c converted farm building. If you are looking for immaculate accommodation and manicured grounds this isn’t for you. We loved it and the owner was delightful. The swimming pool was lovely.

The hotel location is quite good, ~10 mins walk from the old town of Sarlat. Easy walk to the town, coming back after the dinner requires a little more effort. Room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and very clean. Breakfast was OK. We were very satisfied with the accommodation.
