The Alara is my favourite place to stay in Mackay. The rooms are always clean, neat and tidy. The staff at the front desk are always so welcoming. And the restaurant attached to the hotel is amazing! Cannot recommend this hotel enough

Alara Motor Inn is a 4-star motel located on the Bruce Highway in Mackay and features a licensed restaurant. It is 5 minutes' drive from Mackay's town center, Mackay Airport, beaches and amenities. The Sea Winds is a fully-licensed restaurant offering an a la carte menu with daily specials and meal deals available. You can enjoy a drink and dinner at The Sea Winds Bar and dine alfresco on . the veranda, overlooking the pool and tropical surrounds. Room service is also available should you wish to relax in your room. Each air-conditioned room offers a refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities and bed linen. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, ironing facilities and complimentary toiletries. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV. Some Queen rooms offer the option of a spa bath or bath instead of a shower.
