Garibaldi is really small and sleepy. Good for quiet relaxation. We came for the train ride, which was nice. Great dining at the Garibaldi Portside Bistro! A few nice stores for myrtlewood, antiques, thrift, etc. A nice local getaway for a day or two.

I love Garibaldi!
I love Garibaldi! It is quiet and close to a wonderful bead store (Belladonna Beads). There are some decent restaurants. My favorite is The Bistro. The steam train is really fun and a great family activity. It goes to Rockaway where there is a ton of shops and a nice beach to walk on.
If you’re a fisher, there is fishing, crabbing and clamming within 5 miles. If you’re a hiker, there are some lovely walks in the area.
The Garibaldi Museum has a lot of information about the pioneers and first Americans that lived in the area. It is educational and worth a visit.
All in all I can say that this sleepy little town has more than meets the eye.

Located between Cannon and Rockaway Beaches in the north and Tillamook Estuary to the south Garibaldi offers a good starting point for outings in all directions. We ate in a place a little farther south that screamed: KITCHEN and offered one dish only, a real plat du jour including dessert, and had breakfast in our room. Didn't stay long enough to explore restaurants in town, but they had good reviews.

Room was clean and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Several local restaurant options that were not crowded. Easy town to navigate around. Small parking lot with very tight parking spots. Water in the indoor pool was really cold. Breakfast options were impressive and very convenient!

Garibaldi is a small fishing port, and the one tourist attraction is the Maritime Museum. But there are super fish and chips food trucks and cafes, and it was my choice for a quiet rest in a beautiful place. This is not a tourist town....it's got a good port for private fishers plus some commercial fishing and shellfish businesses, plus ocean charters for fishing. I was looking for a quiet escape, and I found it here...plus nice folks, very lovely place to stay at the Harborview RV Park Motel. Garibaldi also has one end of the Coastal Train, former log train, now takes people to Rockaway Beach, north on the ocean. Garibaldi is on Tillamook Bay, but it's not far to ocean beaches going north or south. This is not the place to come for an OCEAN beach, but there's plenty of crabbing, clamming, and fishing on the bay...and quiet.

conveniently located to everything you love about the oregon...
conveniently located to everything you love about the oregon coast. hwy 101...beaches to the north, beaches to the south, crabbing, fishing, clamming, beach napping..small towns..you can take in alot of places in 1 day!
We liked the room size, comfortable bed. I like the convenience of the sink with large counter top inside the room. Elevator was handy. Excellent coffee was available 24 hrs with plenty of creamer. We were on the back side of the hotel and it was very quiet. Honestly, I don't think there's much traffic at night on Hwy 101 so if you faced the highway, it would be quiet.
This was a fabulous experience except for the power outage the first night - the weather, but the staff is remarkable in service, smiles and every thing else. Tess who works across the street at the bestro bar recommended Garibaldi's and Richard and Heather secured it for many more trips I hope, again great service.
Tuck near Garibaldi and the Coast Guard Station, some food nearby and very quiet. Room was a reminder of the 70s era road side motel. Parking right outside your door, quick in and out of your car. Check in and check out was flawless. You can request no contact check in, I consider that a big bonus.
It was nice that the room had a table and chairs and a desk. Beds were comfortable. Mostly quiet - can't help it if parents can't keep their kids from yelling at times! Perfect location for excursion to Oceanside, Manzanita; and, of course, putting around Garibaldi!!
Clean, simple, standard hotel room in this price range! Felt quite big with some nice decoration. What I liked were the little notes with some texts on them to indicate the reason for certain items.
All in all a 4.5 star for me.
I liked that the room was dark enough to sleep. Most hotel places don’t make rooms dark enough. We enjoyed the room upgrades that were not pictured online.
Clean and comfortable beds
Do not confuse with another similarly named hotel right down the street that is not nearly as nice
Friendly reception checkin
Very clean and super close to where we want to be. Office staff was nice. Excellent place to stay. Will be staying there again when we visit Garibaldi.
